According to London, the Russians have been preparing for “months” the firing of a new ballistic missile
The British Defense Minister said that the Russians are preparing “for months” the shooting “a new ballistic missile”without however confirming the launch of an intercontinental missile by Moscow towards Ukrainian territory.
“There are press reports today, unconfirmed, that Russia has fired a new ballistic missile towards Ukraine, which they (the Russians) have been preparing for months from what we know”declared John Healey before the Defense committee of the British Parliament.
The minister also once again refused to confirm that British Storm Shadow cruise missiles had been fired by Ukraine towards Russia. The Russian Defense Ministry announced Thursday that it had shot down two missiles of this type fired by Ukraine and which were targeting its territory, without specifying the place or time of this interception.
“The actions of Ukrainians on the ground speak for themselves, have no doubt that the British government is increasing its support for Ukraine”however, indicated John Healey, recalling having discussed with his Ukrainian counterparts Roustem Oumierov on Tuesday, and American Lloyd Austin on Sunday.
“I am not going to go into the operational details of the conflict. This would jeopardize the security of operations and ultimately the only one who would benefit from such a public debate is (Russian) President Vladimir Putin.he repeated.
