Floods: the Department reimburses your insurance excess

Faced with the floods and mudslides which affected the North on the night of July 31 and August 1, 2024, the Department and the Hauts-de- Region have decided to support the victims by covering the deductible applied by the transport companies. How much is the aid?

The Department and the Hauts-de-France Region cover, upon receipt of proof, the amount of the excess applied by your insurance company. up to €380.

Who is this help for?

The exceptional assistance from the Department and the Region is aimed at any individual residing in one of the 20 northern municipalities recognized by the State in a state of natural disaster, and having suffered damage in his main residence because of the floods.

As of September 23, the municipalities recognized as being in a state of natural disaster in the North are as follows: Attiches, Baisieux, Bersée, Camphin-en-Carembault, Camphin-en-Pévèle, Cysoing, Ennevelin, Hon-Hergies, Mérignies, Mons-en -Pévèle, Mouchin, La Neuville, Phalempin, Pont-à-Marcq, Rumegies, Solrinnes, Toufflers, Tourmignies, Wahagnies and Wannehain.

You can also contact the Department’s Disaster Solidarity line at 03 59 73 80 80 (Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Thursday until 11 a.m., and every afternoon from Monday to Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.).

Parts to provide

  • a bank identity statement (RIB)
  • a certificate of coverage from your insurance including the following elements: name and address of the beneficiary, contract number (housing contract only), claim number, amount of the deductible, and a statement referring to natural disaster guarantee.
