Last night in Calabritto, around 3:30 a.m., an explosive device was triggered at the ATM of BCC “Magna Gracia”, one of the busiest bank branches in the region. The powerful explosion caused damage to automatic equipment.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the sound of the explosion caused concern among residents and passersby.
After the explosion, the carabinieri of Montella's company intervened and launched investigations to identify those responsible for the attack. On site, the deminers also arrived to coordinate the investigations with the carabinieri. Investigators are now seeking to determine the size of the lootwhich remains unknown for the moment. Although specific details have not yet been revealed, it is believed that the hit was aimed at stealing cash from the ATM.
