Every time a health scandal hits France, we remember how essential it is to be careful about the foods we eat. Some items available in stores, unfortunately, are dangerous for your health. Brands like Leclerc, Aldi or Carrefour then launch recall campaigns.
They then transmit important information to the government platform Rappel Conso. The latter, since 2021, has centralized information. It highlights the products in question, the steps to follow for consumers and the causes of the recall. We invite our readers to visit this site every week. Today, it is the Aldi brand that stands out.
Aldi finds itself on Rappel Conso
Our readers are used to seeing us address the issue of a product recall. It must be said that we have, on average, 80 per month. It is therefore essential that information is disseminated quickly. Especially since recall campaigns can concern all brands. Today it's Aldi. It was another yesterday, it will be another tomorrow.
Note, however, that being on Rappel Conso does not mean that a brand is unreliable. On the contrary, it carries out rigorous controls. If, upstream, certain items escape these controls, Aldi, in this case, acts quickly to protect consumers.

Aldi urgently recalls in France this product that all French people love due to contamination, it concerns cheeses
Thus, on Tuesday November 19, the Aldi brand announced the recall of a chorizo pizza due to suspicion of Listeria monocytogenes contaminationbacteria responsible for listeriosis.
A product not to consume
The recall concerns a 450 gram chorizo pizzaidentified under lot number 309 and whose expiration date is November 29, 2024. Luckily, this is not a massive recall. Indeed, this pizza was on sale in Aldi stores (between November 8 and 18), of six regions.
So, if you shop at Aldi and live in the following areas, beware: Burgundy-Franche-Comté, Centre-Val de Loire, Grand-Est, Hauts-de-France, Île-de-France and Normandy.
This reminder should not be underestimated. Indeed, listeriosis is a serious infection that can develop following the consumption of food contaminated by the bacteria Listeria monocytogenes. Unlike other contaminants, the presence of this bacteria does not alter the taste or odor of food, making it difficult to detect.
If you have certain symptoms (fever, headache, body aches), consult your doctor quickly. In severe cases, neurological complications (such as meningitis) or maternal and fetal harm in pregnant women may occur.

For any further information, customer service is available at 09.77.40.40.44. The recall procedure will end on Monday December 2, 2024.
This recall illustrates the importance of monitoring food products, particularly with regard to pathogenic bacteria such as listeria.
