Passing the torch

Elected in 2009 to the town hall of Montigny-lès-Cormeilles after a career as an executive in the private sector, Jean-Noël Carpentier was notably known as a member of the MDP, the Progressive Movement. He also joined the benches of the National Assembly from 2012 to 2017 as a deputy for the 3rd constituency of Val-d’Oise.

Moments of his life, which he preferred to leave aside in his message, which mainly evokes his role at the local level. “ I also leave with a proud heart to have had the trust of so many residents of our good city for many years. Oh of course, debates, discussions and sometimes disagreements were expressed, but always with respect”he wrote.

« The elected officials with whom I loved working (…) will know how to continue this challenge of respect and living together. This is always what I have carried deep within me all these years for our city. This is also what our former mayor Robert Hue wore », also mentioned the city councilor before passing away.
