The public prosecutor begins his indictment
“Mila did not imagine that day, giving birth to death”
“Maternity is in principle the beginning of a long life. Soline was deprived of this destiny. Deprived of a first step, of a first word. Of adolescence, of first loves. She does not will never live, any more than her mother did not imagine that day, giving birth to death”, indicates the lawyer for the civil parties.
“His jaw is shifted”
“His jaw is shifted (…) he sees the looks of others on that. He knows that when he speaks, he speaks badly. He knows that his scar on his chin is visible, he knows that the scar on the side of the skull is visible and you have empathy, I have empathy. But the kids are cruel,” confided the lawyer for the civil parties during his argument, indicates BFMTV.
The latter evokes the injuries of Devrim, the child of Yuksel Yakut (Mila's brother-in-law), who now remains “in his corner” in the classroom, “he is in the corner of the living room. He is in the corner of the playground. He's afraid of the others.”
Pleadings of the civil party's lawyer
“I sincerely thought that this morning, Mr Palmade, who said he was sorry, would agree to appear voluntarily for manslaughter. It was the opportunity for him to show that he is ready to assume his responsibilities. This was not the case. case”, lamented Me Mourad Battikh, echoed by RMC.

#Palmade : “It is a tragedy which could have been avoided, which could have been reduced. If the passengers had not cowardly left the scene, left the scene.”

Pierre's sister came to testify at the bar
“There is a fragility in Pierre linked to his homosexuality, which was not well received in the 80s. And then, there is the absence of the father,” she confided on the stand, reports RMC .
The court returns to Pierre Palmade's outing in Bordeaux, a few months after the accident
While he was involved in the accident that occurred on February 10, 2023, Pierre Palmade was questioned by the president about his outing in a Bordeaux nightclub a few months after the tragedy. “Yes it is scandalous and indecent. At that moment I was haggard. I have no friends, no future. I relapsed. And I asked to be hospitalized, unable to be left to my own devices,” replies the comedian, echoed by a TF1 journalist present on site.
The court showed photos from CCTV cameras

He denounces harassment by the media “for two months”
An 87-year-old man, also a victim of the accident involving Pierre Palmade, and whose car was located behind Mila's, confided to having been the target of harassment by the media “for two months”.
The pensioner who was driving behind and who was slightly injured comes to the stand. The 87-year-old denounces the “harassment of the media for two months” because of the identity of Pierre Palmade. “It would have been Mr. Tartempion, there would have been no problem.”

“The doctors told me that I won’t be able to go back to the way I was before,” confides Yuksel Yakut
The driver whose car was hit by Pierre Palmade reported his injuries to the Melun criminal court.
Mila, the young woman who was six months pregnant at the time of the events, took the stand
“I was not able to become attached to my child during pregnancy,” Mila told the Melun criminal court this Wednesday, November 20, after losing her baby during the terrible traffic accident. The day before, she had also expressed her anxieties regarding this trial to our colleagues at RMC.
Baby's legal status called into question during hearing
The lawyer for the civil parties, Me Mourad Battikh, questioned the legal status of the baby that one of the victims, Mila, lost during the accident when she was 6 months pregnant. At the time, a medical expert concluded that the baby had died “in utero”, thus depriving him of the legal status of being alive. Not having been born alive in the hospital, homicide was therefore not held against the comedian.
“I solemnly ask you to change this case law and allow Mr. Palmade to appear voluntarily for involuntary manslaughter,” relates a TF1info journalist present at the trial, who quotes the lawyer.
A request that the principal concerned and his lawyer, Me Celine Lasek, refused. “I object to his voluntary appearance,” she said.
The fetus was not born alive when it arrived at the hospital, so it has no legal existence under the law. The judge therefore did not accept “homicide” based on consistent case law from the Court of Cassation. “The case law is absurd” says @maitre_battikh
