The Raid calls out a resident of Villeneuve-lès-Béziers this Wednesday morning at dawn

A resident of Villeneuve lès Béziers, who had threatened the mayor of Béziers and outraged the prefect of Hérault, was arrested this Wednesday, November 20 by the Raid police officers.

This Wednesday morning, the Raid police officers intervened in the center of Villeneuve-lès-Béziers to arrest a man, already known to the police for various insults or threats. Recently, he had threatened the mayor of Béziers, Robert Ménard, but also the prefect of Hérault, François-Xavier Lauch, in uncomplimentary and outrageous terms. The decision was therefore taken, after the scene was identified, to put an end to these actions, especially since, according to the neighborhood, this man was showing problems which sometimes led him to be dangerous for his neighbors. The suspect was arrested without incident and was reportedly hospitalized.

Psychologically fragile

Placed in police custody in the premises of the Béziers police station, the suspect will certainly not be brought before the courts. According to our information, “He has serious psychological problems which will undoubtedly lead the authorities to have him hospitalized so that he can receive medical care and stop his actions which could prove dangerous.” This justifies his placement in a medical treatment center in which he will benefit from appropriate care.
