Météo France has placed the Côte-d'Or department on orange snow-ice alert from Thursday November 21 at 11 a.m. This vigilance also concerns the following departments: Aube, Yonne, Haute-Marne, Vosges, Haute-Saône, Doubs, Territoire de Belfort and Haut-Rhin. The start of snowfall is expected around midday until mid-evening. 3 to 10 cm are expected throughout the day tomorrow, locally 15 cm on the Côte-d'Or.
Advice and recommendations for individuals:
Be careful and vigilant if you absolutely have to travel. Prepare your trip and your itinerary. Remember to equip your vehicle with special equipment and protect yourself from the cold. Respect the traffic restrictions and diversions put in place. Make it easier for road and highway clearing equipment to pass, in particular by parking your vehicle outside the traffic lanes. Protect yourself from falls and protect others by clearing snow and salting the sidewalks in front of your home, while avoiding obstructing water drains.
