In a strong statement from the Gaza beach, Netanyahu said: “Hamas will no longer control Gaza. We are destroying their military capabilities in an impressive way and are now attacking their governance structures.” He issued a direct warning regarding the hostages: “Anyone who dares to harm them will pay with their life. We will hunt you down and we will catch you.” The prime minister also announced a new initiative, offering a “safe exit” and a $5 million reward to anyone who helps free a hostage. For his part, Defense Minister Israel Katz underlined the government’s total commitment to the armed forces, particularly the reservists, promising “all the resources necessary to accomplish their mission.” He touted Israeli military successes, calling them unparalleled internationally. The visit concluded with a situation assessment at the Gaza Division Headquarters, where operational progress and future developments in the war were discussed. Netanyahu was accompanied by his chief of staff Tzachi Braverman, his military secretary General Roman Gofman, the vice president of the National Security Council Gil Reich, and his spokesperson Dr. Omer Dostri. The visit comes amid intensifying Israeli military operations in Gaza, as the army pursues its stated goal of dismantling Hamas infrastructure.
