Today we are behind the disruption that has been plaguing us in recent days. It is therefore a trailing sky which has set in, but fortunately it is not very active. Our morning is therefore generally very sunny, with large clearings accompanying us in a slightly cloudy sky. The wind, although decreasing, still blows in peaks of 40 to 50 km/h.
No notable change for the afternoon, you will just have to watch the south-west of the Somme and the Oise where showers of sleet, or even snow, could overflow from Upper Normandy. The wind will strengthen a little across the entire region, its gusts will reach 40 to 60 km/h which will further accentuate the feeling of cold.
Here we are today with temperatures 3 and 4 degrees below seasonal norms. Frosts are possible in certain areas in the interior because Météo France announces only 0 to 2°C. As you get closer to the coast you will have 3 to 5°C.
At the best of the day, let's not expect more than 5 to 8°C. In other words, we bring out scarves, hats, even gloves, in addition to jackets or good winter coats, especially since they will be useful to us later.
THURSDAY : You have certainly already heard about the depression which will cross France from west to east this Thursday. In addition to the wind, it risks bringing snow to the plains. The region should remain on the fringes of this phenomenon located further south. If during the day the sky is clear and therefore sunny over the northern half of our territory, more cloudy with showers which will develop over the southern half in the afternoon, it will still be necessary to monitor the possible overflow of showers snowy in the extreme south. The westerly wind will calm down (weak to moderate) but temperatures will be even cooler than today. Frosts will be more numerous with -1 to + 1°C, the maximum will struggle to reach 2 to 6°C.
Friday : The cold air mass will still be present. No change in the general situation, we will always be a lagging sky with little activity. Before seeing the color of the sky, a quick update on the temperatures which will have dropped further in the morning after a night under the stars. There will therefore be a risk of refreezing of precipitation residues, frosts will be more numerous since the minimums will display -2°C to 0°C. You will have to wait until the end of the morning for the roads to warm up, so be careful. The maximums will be slightly increasing with a range of 4 to 6°C. As for the sky this Friday, it will be lightly overcast, in other words very sunny. Rare showers may occur over the Somme and the Oise in a northerly flow, and could take on a wintry character (snow, ice pellets); the risk remains to be clarified. The northwest wind will be moderate to strong with gusts of 40 to 60 km/h.
SATURDAY : Change in weather and clear rise in maximums ! The first day of the weekend will take place under overcast skies. Moist air masses will dump a few drops from the end of the morning and into the afternoon on the north of the region. The moderate wind will shift to the southern sector. The minimums will still be cool, 1 to 3°C, however the maximums will take a big leap forward with 12 to 14°C.
Weather conditions are favorable for effective leaching of the atmosphere. Only ozone will remain in sufficient quantities to maintain average air quality across the region today. Small reminder from ATMO Hauts-de-France: To keep good air in your home and also limit external pollution, be aware that your chimney flue must be swept twice a year.
November 20 is 325th day of the year (41 remaining). It is also World Children's Day, because on November 20, 1989 (35 years ago), world leaders made a historic commitment to children around the world by adopting the Convention on the Rights of child, which serves as an international agreement. This year, this world day calls on all adults to listen to the future, by listening to children. Have a good day and tomorrow don't forget to celebrate Rufus.
