VinFast Auto has initiated deliveries of its flagship VF 9 all-electric SUV to Canadian customers, marking the company’s entry into the full-size electric vehicle segment. The three-row, seven-passenger SUV is now available in VinFast’s Canadian retail network, starting at $77,321 for the Eco version and $81,321 for the Plus version.
Technology and performance
The VF 9 with all-wheel drive and dual motor offers an EPA-estimated range of 518 kilometers in Eco version and 462 kilometers in Plus configuration. It measures 5,120 millimeters long, 2,000 millimeters wide and 1,690 millimeters high, with a ground clearance of 183 millimeters. Its electric powertrain provides additional storage space, including a front trunk under the hood.
“We are very excited to officially bring the VF 9, VinFast’s second electric SUV model, to the Canadian market,” said Robert Muller, Assistant General Manager of Sales and Marketing at VinFast Canada. “The VF 9 is one of the few three-row, seven-seat all-wheel-drive electric vehicle models on the market. »
The SUV comes with an upgraded driver assistance system, 11 airbags and a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with internet connectivity for streaming and navigation. The VinFast mobile application provides access to a vast public charging network.
The VF 9 joins VinFast’s growing Canadian lineup, which includes the VF 8 mid-size SUV offering up to 425 kilometers of range. The company is expanding its portfolio with two upcoming models: the VF 6 compact SUV, which targets 399 kilometers of range, and the mid-size VF 7, which aims to achieve up to 450 kilometers of range. Both new models will feature dual-motor configurations and advanced driver assistance systems.
The company supports Canadian customers through 10 showrooms and 57 certified collision centers. The VF 9 is backed by a 10-year or 200,000 kilometer warranty, complemented by 24/7 roadside assistance and mobile repair services.
