On the occasion of the International Day Against Violence Against Women, a demonstration “against violence against women and gender minorities” is planned next Monday from 6 p.m. in Dijon, with a specific meeting Liberation Square*. The organizations specify, on the event poster, that “the leading procession” will be “a mix chosen between the people concerned”.
Many demands
“On November 25, we will march to denounce all types of violence,” explain the organizers. “ […] We will march to pay tribute to all the victims and co-victims, and to express our solidarity with them. […] » Among the demands, there are among others: “A comprehensive framework law against all sexist and sexual violence”; “a budget […] of at least €2.6 billion per year against violence (compared to €184 million currently)”, “proactive public policies, in-depth reform of institutions”, “protection of victims and their support in better conditions […] “, “the protection and guarantee of the right of LGBTQIAP + people (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex, asexual, pansexual and all others, Editor's note) to exist freely, in equality with cisgender heterosexual people, as well as as a policy to combat transphobia” or even “the unconditional welcome for all people seeking asylum, particularly victims of gender-based violence (including threats of excisions, forced marriages, LGBTIphobic persecution, etc.)”.
