The trial of Philippe Leclerc, 32, began Tuesday in Rouyn-Noranda. The public prosecutor accuses him of having unintentionally killed René Leclerc, attacked with an ax in June 2022.

The trial continues Wednesday with the presentation of evidence. The prosecutors on file are lawyers Vincent Bernier and Philippe Comtois. Philippe Leclerc's lawyers are Elise Pinsonnault and Catherine Ranalli.
Ten witnesses are notably likely to intervene during the trial.
