The Welcome Prize rewards each year the nicest, most cheerful and warmest traders in Rouen. The 2024 winners were announced during a gala evening this Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
Grand Prix
Famille Mary, a store specializing in honey and other beekeeping products, located at 8 rue Rollon, won the Grand Prix. As in previous years, “mystery” customers carried out the evaluation. The rating criteria focused on the welcome of the staff, the aesthetics of the place and the services offered.
The other winners are: Hôtel de Dieppe – 1881 (5 place Tissot); Franck Provost (Docks 76); primeur Le 5 (rue Armand-Carrel); Valentin for live bakery (rue Cauchoise); Auzou Chocolats (rue du Gros-Horloge); restaurant XXI (43 rue aux Ours); bar-brasserie Le Bovary (33 rue du Bec); La ruche de Doro (35 rue Armand-Carrel); Amélie Beauty Institute (rue de Sotteville).
Audience Award
2,500 people took part in the vote to award the Public Prize. In this category, the choice of Internet users was entirely free. And it was Fancy Coffee, a concept store offering Korean products and albums from K-POP groups at 82 rue de la République, which was acclaimed.
Gastronomic revelation of the year
This is a new category that has appeared. Rouen is the only French city to belong to the UNESCO network of creative cities in terms of Gastronomy. The creation of this prize is a nod to the label and rewards the restaurant of the year 2024. Ten establishments with less than 60 seats, open for a maximum of one year, equipped with a chef and favoring products costs. In the end, 1,300 people voted for Louisette, dining cellar, 35 rue Percière.
