It's not even about age.
Scheduled for this Tuesday, the first match of the eighth round of the Coupe de France between Corte (N3) and the Mahorais of the Black Devils of Combani (R1) will not take place this Tuesday. The reason? Crépy-en-Valois, the opponent of the Mahorais club in the seventh round, accuses his crush of having provided false medical certificates.
According to Mayotte the 1rethree players would be targeted by the Oise club's accusation. The Black Devils deny the breach. As a reminder, they have to deal with the absence of seven players in an irregular situation in Mayotte and who were unable to make the trip to mainland France. They even take the opposite view of the allegations and accuse the Crépy-en-Valois club and the Hauts-de-France League of having sought to obtain confidential information in an unfair or even illegal manner. The FFF took up the matter.
Two options emerge
It remains to be seen how the matter will be resolved. Two options emerge. If the Mahorais club is innocent, the meeting in Corte should take place on Wednesday or Thursday. Otherwise, it is Crépy-en-Valois who will win the seventh round meeting and will face Corte in the eighth round on the weekend of November 30.
The FFF will never have decided a case so quickly.
