Gabriel is caught up in his past
In the Mistral, Thomas informs Kilian that Gabriel avoided meeting the person who sold his identity on the Dark Web. Indeed, this individual was a talented tennis player, and at the time, Gabriel was a fervent admirer of his career. Riva justifies herself to her husband by explaining to him that this exceptional player had a serious motorcycle accident which forced him to end his career.
