Thomas Perotto, a 16-year-old rugby player, was stabbed during a village festival in Crépol just a year ago. Since then, 14 people have been indicted, but the identity of the perpetrator of the fatal stabbing remains unknown.
In Crépol (Drôme), no one has forgotten the face of Thomas Perotto. On Sunday, November 17, his classmates again placed flowers in front of his stele to pay tribute to him. A year after the tragic death of the young high school student, the investigation continues. 14 people, including three minors, are indicted for murder and attempted murder.
Investigators have still not identified the perpetrator of the fatal attack, but the noose is tightening around two suspects, who admitted to carrying a knife that evening, without, they say, having used it . Everyone disputes the facts. “My clients are perfectly consistent. They did not carry these stab wounds, they are innocent.”says Me Guillaume Fort, the lawyer for seven of them.
Investigators heard more than a hundred witnesses and analyzed videos filmed by the young people during the ball. The investigations carried out around the suspects and their relatives, all from Romans-sur-Isère (Drôme), made it possible to definitively rule out premeditation.
