A 16-year-old girl was found dead this Monday morning in Montélimar in the Drôme. His body was lying at the carriage entrance of a building on rue Pierre Julien, in the city center. This young girl was placed in a foster home in a neighboring department. She had run away and was squatting in this building, probably with another runaway minor. The public prosecutor of Drôme, Laurent De Caigny, discusses “an extremely sensitive matter”. He opened an investigation, “in particular for administration of a harmful substance resulting in death”.
The hypothesis would therefore be that this teenager was drugged, “encouraged or forced to consume a product”. What substance? By whom and why? An autopsy of the teenager’s body must be carried out at the Grenoble Medico-Legal Institute as well as toxicological analyses.
“Several searches were carried out in the building,” adds the public prosecutor. A man was taken into custody because narcotics were found at his home. Checks are underway, but at first glance, there would be no link with the death of the teenager.
