Last month, the Casino group's stores in Corsica were bought by Patrick Rocca. The latter established the Auchan group significantly throughout Corsica.

However, since this takeover, prices in the new Auchan stores have been higher than in the old Casino supermarkets.

• In the Fium'Orbu, a model caddy was made, at the beginning of November, by the management of the Prunelli store. There was a difference of €35 between the Auchan store (€155) and the competition (€120).
• In Bastia, one of the stores shows a loss of €30,000 per day compared to the month of September.
• The prices of the two Auchan du Sartenais-Valincu are higher than in Aiacciu, where there is already a significant price difference between the store in Mezavia, which is experiencing a drop in attendance, and the one in Baleone.

Corsican consumers cannot be considered as cash cows and do not have an expandable wallet. They are deserting some of these new stores which remain much less frequented than before, even during the usual peak hours.
In fact, consumer benefits have been removed, in particular the 10% immediate reduction linked to the loyalty card to which was added an additional 10% prize pool.
This situation reveals the predatory mentality of part of Corsican employers, who intend to have a monopoly on our economy.
If the desertion of these stores is a warning to consumers, who always have, for their part, the possibility of choosing the most economically advantageous brand for them, it remains no less worrying for the 1,200 employees of the group who fear for their future.
This situation is also difficult for the resulting jobs of service providers and for the dozens of traders in shopping malls, who are affected by this drop in attendance.
Core in Fronte asks to meet Patrick Rocca, and the Auchan group, so that they can give an explanation of their motivation and return to a non-predatory pricing policy as quickly as possible.
