On the occasion of its 9th edition, Périjeux will be held on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November at the Filature de l'Isle. The opportunity to have fun with board games and board games, all for free.

While it was to be held at the end of September at Filature de l'Isle, Périjeux will finally be organized on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 November. “We try to evolve with the times,” confides Julien Broussaud, president of Périjeux. Not much has changed from previous editions. » On this occasion, a competition, paid this time, will be offered where you have to guess the weight of a box which contains a secret gift for two euros. The nearest person leaves with the contents of this box.

Family event

For two days, visitors will be able to try thousands of board games. “We are going to offer board games, role-playing games, figurine games around military strategy, the werewolves of Thiercelieux, murder parties, retro gaming and board game tournaments,” lists the president. There will also be a children's area so they can have fun too. » Because it is one of Julien Broussaud's priorities, that this event remains family-friendly, “that everyone can mingle with each other, creators and players, it's a whole little world that meets”. Périjeux can also allow different creators, from all over Aquitaine, to carry out a full-scale test of their game: “It takes a thousand games to establish the right rules for a game and perfect it, that’s a lot of time. work and therefore the festival can show what works and what doesn't. »

For this 9th edition, Julien Broussaud hopes that the number of visitors will be greater than previous editions, with 2,500 visitors in 2023. “Welcoming more people enhances the work of the volunteers who work for two days. But it also allows us to show publishing houses that we can offer something bigger and more qualitative for future festivals. » Especially since the tenth edition is already in the works and something big is being prepared to celebrate this anniversary, at the end of October 2025.
