A car hits an unoccupied house in Eure: the house catches fire

The firefighters intervened during the night of Sunday November 17 to Monday November 18, 2024 in the small town of Perrey (formerly Fourmetot), near Pont-Audemer. It was around 2:30 a.m. when they were called to a house fire.

The driver was no longer there

The house located on Route de l'Église was partially engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. According to initial findings, the fire started after a car that had left the road hit the house.

Eighteen firefighters were mobilized to put out the fire. The intervention ended around 6:40 a.m. No injuries were reported because the house of approximately 100 m² was not occupied. And there were no occupants in the car when help arrived.
