Jaguar in a state of clinical death, with a new terrible decision

Jaguar folds a little further. Faced with serious difficulties, the firm is once again reducing its car sales. It will therefore stop selling vehicles across the Channel, explains Challenges. A decision taken because of a “sickness for new things”.

This follows another heavy decision, this time taken in his home country, the United Kingdom. Since November 2024, it has no longer sold new models to its customers based in the territory. And the latter can only turn to “approved” used vehicles, available through Jaguar’s retail network. The firm detailed:

“We have now ceased allocation of our current generation of Jaguar vehicles. We have a selection of models available to acquire on an approved used basis through our UK retail network.”

Change in 2026?

Jaguar intends to do so until 2026. A year coinciding with the launch of its new electric range. Which should allow it to get back on track, after years of struggle. This would involve targeting a more affluent clientele.

To achieve this, Jaguar is counting on several models. These include a large SUV and a limousine. The presentation of a GT sedan, rival to the Porsche Taycan, is also expected at the beginning of December. A vehicle already somewhat revealed…

A few days ago, the brand actually revealed three photos of the prototype currently in development. A 100% electric vehicle, still largely camouflaged. Enough, however, to discover its astonishing proportions. A car halfway between a coupe and a four-door GT.
