Traffic info: traffic is difficult around the Woluwé-Saint-Etienne interchange, up to 1 hour late when coming from Liège

08h09
The two accidents cleared

The two accidents on the Brussels outer ring at Jette and Machelen were cleared in the direction of Grand Bigard.

On the other hand, the situation remains complicated around the Woluwé-Saint-Etienne interchange with this accident in a right lane on the E40.

You add 1 hour coming from Liège between Heverlee Parking and Woluwé-Saint-Etienne

The lines slowly disappear between Tervuren and Zaventem but you add another 30 minutes towards Grand-Bigard.

In the other direction, indoors, 20 minutes to add between Expo and Machelen then between Wezembeek-Oppem and Léonard towards Waterloo.

Around the Anderlecht construction site, you slow down for 15 minutes both from Grand-Bigard and from Halle.

Two other accidents are still present:

  • On the E19 Antwerp-Brussels near the Puisie car park with 45 minutes added towards the Capital between Zemst and Machelen
  • On the E429 near Halle towards Tournai with 10 minutes to add from Halle towards Tournai.

The lines are getting longer on the E40 Liège-Brussels

Situation unchanged on the Brussels outer ring with the two accidents near Jette and Machelen in the direction of Grand-Bigard.

30 minutes to slow down between Grimbergen and Jette and 45 minutes between Tervuren and Zaventem. These slowdowns are therefore in the direction of Grand-Bigard.

On the other hand, the queues are increasing on the E40 Liège-Brussels with now 45 minutes to add over 13 km between the Heverlee car park and Woluwé-Saint-Etienne.

We also add:

  • 20 minutes at the end of the E429 Tournai-Brussels with an accident between Tubize and Halle where an accident is also reported in the other direction towards Tournai.
  • 25 minutes in the south of the country between Hondelange and Bridel in Luxembourg following these new works on the A6 extension of the E411. Works between “Mamer” and “Capellen”.

Three accidents complicate traffic

The situation is already quite complicated this morning on the outer ring of Brussels (which should be avoided) with two accidents to report in the direction of Grand-Bigard.

The first in a left strip near Jette (30 minutes to add between Grimbergen and Jette).

The second at Machelen level with, there, only one strip available, the right strip. 45 minutes are to be added between Wezembeek-Oppem and Zaventem with 25 minutes of queues on the E40 between the Everberg car park and Kraainem and also 25 minutes at the end of the E19 Antwerp-Brussels which arrives at Machelen.

A third accident was also reported on the E40 Ghent-Brussels near Affligem. 25 minutes to slow down between Aalst and Affligem towards the Capital.

The start of the usual lines

This is the start of the usual lines around the construction zones on the Brussels ring road.

No problems announced

No traffic problems at the start of the week.

We therefore remind you that in the Liège region, the Cointe Tunnel is closed during the nights (10 p.m.-6 a.m.) until Friday, between interchanges 35 “Avroy/Laveu” and 39 “Chênée” in both directions of traffic with the usual diversion routes.
