Biathlon: in the wind, Elvira Oeberg enjoys great success
Beaten on Saturday during the individual short by her compatriot Anna Magnusson, Elvira Oeberg was keen to close the opening swedish biathlon races this Sunday at Idre Fjäll (Suede). And the Swede did the job during the sprint. Yet at fault twicethe Scandinavian did not tremble despite the strong wind of the day.
In good shape on skis, the 25-year-old biathlete has assumed his status leaving only crumbs for her teammates and rivals of the day. Indeed, with more than 48 seconds of margin on Anna Karin Heijdenberg (7/10) when she crossed the line, the best young person under 25 in the World Cup last year took good marks.
On the third step of the podium, we find Ella Halvarssonwho was at fault three times. The latter had to work hard to get ahead of the Ukrainian Khrystyna Dmytrenko (9/10) by just three seconds. The Latvian Baiba Bendika (8/10) completed the top 5.
