A serious accident occurred on Sunday November 17 at 7:30 a.m. along rue des Anémones in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray.
A car violently crashed into a tree. The vehicle was carrying four people.
When emergency services arrived, two victims had gotten out of the vehicle, including a young 18-year-old woman who was in cardio-respiratory arrest.
The fourth occupant of the car flees
This young woman was pronounced dead shortly after.
Firefighters also rescued a 17-year-old man, considered seriously injured, and another 18-year-old man who was slightly injured.
Firefighters from the departmental fire and rescue service reported that a fourth occupant of the vehicle “fled before help arrived”, without knowing more about the precise circumstances of the accident and whether the fleeing passenger was possibly the driver of the vehicle involved, even if it is a man or a woman at this stage.
The emergency services, in addition to the police, had dispatched 4 machines and ten personnel to assist the three injured people found at the scene of the accident.
