While explosions occurred in several cities in Ukraine (including kyiv, the capital), the polish army announced on Sunday November 17, 2024 that it had taken off fighter planes.
Poland intends to mobilize “all available forces and resources” to protect its territory during a major Russian missile and drone attack against Ukraine, against a backdrop of conflict for almost three years.

These measures “are intended to ensure security in sectors adjoining threatened areas,” insisted Polish central command.
“Massive attack on the Ukrainian electricity system”
In Ukraine, air alerts have been issued across the country. Energy Minister German Galushchenko said that a “massive attack on the electricity system is underway” and that the Russian army is particularly targeting “electricity generation and transmission installations” throughout Ukraine.
One injured in kyiv
The mayor of kyiv, Vitali Klitchko, reported one person injured when a drone fragment fell on an apartment building.
Local authorities and Ukrainian media reported numerous explosions across the country, notably in the south in Zaporizhia, Odessa and Mykolaiv, as well as in Cherniguiv (in the north of the country).
