Reuters reports that air alerts have been issued by the Air Force across Ukraine. Residents were urged to take shelter and the military said a number of missiles were crossing Ukrainian airspace.

Ukrainian authorities said they had cut electricity in a number of regions, including kyiv, as a preventative measure.
