Two accidents took place on the night of November 15 to 16, in Vaucluse. The first took place Friday evening, at 10:45 p.m., on the D943, near Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt. A 21-year-old young man lost control of his vehicle and ended up in the ravine, falling 10 m. He died instantly.
The firefighters had to call on a team from Grimp (Research and Intervention Group in Dangerous Environments) to reassemble the vehicle.
Two twenty-somethings seriously injured
Later in the night, at 3:15 a.m., a car left the road on the D974, linking Bédoin to Carpentras, in the town of Crillon-le-Brave. Four people were in the vehicle.
Two women aged 24 and 26 were transported in absolute emergency to the Carpentras hospital center and to the North hospital in Marseille, after being extricated.
Another young woman, aged 20, was slightly injured and transported to Carpentras hospital, and the last passenger, a 24-year-old man, escaped unhurt, in a state of shock.
Twenty-six firefighters were mobilized for the operation.
