Far from a truce, intense bombings in Lebanon and rockets in Israel were observed this Saturday.

Flares landed in front of the private residence of Benjamin Netanyahu, whose security services denounced a “dangerous escalation”.

80 “projectiles” fired by Hezbollah, a synagogue hit in Haifa

Environ “80 projectiles” were fired on Saturday from Lebanon towards Israel by the Lebanese Islamist movement Hezbollah, supported by Iran, the Israeli army also indicated. “Approximately 80 projectiles fired by the terrorist organization Hezbollah crossed the border from Lebanon into Israel today”indicated in a press release the Israeli army, which itself carried out multiple strikes the same day on the southern suburbs of Beirut, stronghold of Hezbollah, and on the city of Tire (southwest of Lebanon).

Lebanese Hezbollah confirmed that it fired salvos of rockets at military bases in and near Haifa in northern Israel on Saturday evening. In a statement, this movement cited five bases targeted in Haifa and Carmel, further south, after the Israeli army reported rockets fired at Haifa where a synagogue was hit, injuring two people.

Two rescuers die in Lebanon

In eastern Lebanon, six people, including three children, died in a strike, according to the Ministry of Health. In the south, bordering northern Israel, several towns and villages were the target of intense strikes. Two rescuers died, according to the ministry. The Israeli army claimed to have targeted “Hezbollah arms depots and command centers” in the region of Tyre.
