Przemysław Frankowskikey player for the Polish national team and RC Lens, faces a new test. Although he was called to represent his country, an injury forced him to leave the group and return to Lens, thus missing the match against Portugal.
Since his return from the World Cup in Qatar, Frankowski has played a string of matches, both with his selection and with his club. This workload seems to have taken a toll on his body, which was already put to the test during a match against Lille where he suffered a blow to his foot.
This time, it was a muscle injury that forced him to withdraw before he could even take the field for Poland’s first match. National team officials announced on social media that the player suffered “minor damage to one of the adductor muscles.”
Back in Lens, medical examinations gave hope for a return to the field in around ten days, according to Jacek Jaroszewski, the Polish selection doctor. This situation complicates things for RC Lens, which must deal with several absences in its squad.
The club’s right wing is particularly affected, with Jimmy Cabot still unavailable, Ruben Aguilar recently operated on and Tom Pouilly still learning in Ligue 1. RC Lens is therefore planning to strengthen its squad during the next winter transfer window.
