A fire ravaged part of the Hôtel Lac Carling, in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, in the Laurentians, during the night from Friday to Saturday.
All I know at the moment is that the fire started in the attic and then spread to 50% of the building.
said the mayor of Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, Tom Arnold, in an interview on RDI on Saturday morning. No one was injured, the mayor added.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. According to Mr. Arnold, the fire started around 9 p.m. Friday evening. Municipal firefighters were quickly dispatched to the scene to fight the flames. They were still there at the time of writing.

The Hôtel Lac Carling is an important tourist attraction in the Laurentians. Built in the 1990s, the resort was renovated about ten years ago at a cost of several million dollars. The place has around 100 rooms and several facilities, including a spa and a golf course.

Friday evening, many customers were there for the night. Everyone was able to be evacuated without incident.
