At the end of a final gathering in the Belle-Vue 1 district, in 3th district of Libreville, a few hours before the end of the electoral campaign, the Circle of the Republic of the Future (CRF) rallies the camp of supporters of ”Yes” to the draft constitution submitted to referendum this Saturday, November 16. On the occasion, the president of the CRF, Yannick Leslie Mbina, called on his supporters and the Gabonese population to go massively to the polls and carry the triumph of the ‘’Oui’’ on election night.
In front of an attentive and engaged crowd, Yannick Leslie Mbina presented the issues of the proposed constitutional reform, highlighting the significant advances contained in the new Constitution. These include the limitation of presidential terms and the reduction of foreign influence in the upper echelons of the State, he said.
According to the president of the Circle of the Republic of the Future, these reforms, added to the end of the monarchical devotion of power, but not only, are essential to ensure a more stable and more inclusive future in Gabon.
The president of the CRF also expressed his gratitude to the inhabitants of Belle Vue 1, where he had not returned since the legislative and local elections of 2023. He invited his hosts to support the draft text of the future constitution, which he considers a historic step for the country. “This reform is a unique opportunity to rewrite the future of Gabon, a future that belongs to us all”he pleaded.
The occasion was also a good opportunity to address and discuss with its guests some of the concerns, particularly relating to the difficulties of supplying drinking water. Yannick Leslie Mbina revealed in this regard that measures were underway to improve the situation and called on residents to be patient; specifying that lasting solutions were in preparation.
While the countdown is underway, the CRF said it will continue its charm operations until these final moments of the referendum campaign to rally the greatest number of votes possible for the adoption without firing a shot of the constitutional reform project under debate.
