Two days after an extremely violent kidnapping in Tournefeuille, near Toulouse, two people defended by Me Jean Balbo and from Guyana are indicted. These individuals, aged 33 and 32, are suspected of acts of torture and barbarity, aggravated violence and kidnapping.

A robbery for drugs

It all started on Wednesday evening, when at 10 p.m., two men aged 20 and 21, accompanied by two accomplices who remained in a car, broke into an apartment. The accommodation is located in a recent two-story building in Tournefeuille. These young men allegedly entered by force and tried to rob the tenants. According to initial accounts, this punitive expedition was aimed at recovering drugs and money, although the precise motivations remain unclear.

But the two tenants of the premises were not cooperative. An understatement. The duo from Guyana and not very impressionable quickly overpowered the two burglars. Then they were tortured. One was burned with boiling oil and beaten with a hammer. The other was stabbed in the legs and arms. A shocking sequence published live on social networks. A modus operandi similar to that of the Mexican cartels, who use filmed violence to establish their domination.

These young people aged 20 and 21 were finally saved by witnesses and neighbors who called the emergency services. Upon their arrival, police officers from the left bank of Toulouse apprehended six people, including the two injured in serious condition.

Investigators seized nearly €30,000 in small denominations. At the end of police custody, the alleged robbers, now considered victims and defended by Me Jocelyn Momasso-Momasso, were released for lack of sufficient evidence. The case is now led by an investigating judge.
