L'Atelier blanc is offering the 14th edition of the prizes dedicated to young creation at the Moulin des arts in Saint-Rémy, in partnership with the department of Aveyron. The five artists selected by the jury are: with “Pluie de soleils” Pauline Beck reenacts a scene of picking Mirabelle plums, an emblematic fruit of her native Alsace, using different media. A reinterpretation imbued with poetry. Thomas Gasquet exhibits a series of works on paper which takes its source from research carried out on bank notes. It questions ideas of value, exchange and authenticity. Héloïse Farago in the video “Love story” is inspired by Monique Wittig's “Endless Journey”, a lesbian and feminist rewriting of Don Quixote. She uses the “camp” aesthetic, an anti-serious and theatrical style marked by exaggeration and playful humor. Léo Mouysset with “Les lit des Syllogomaniaques” questions, through the pathology of Diogenes syndrome, about our era which produces in mass and praises the acquisition of objects while not knowing what to do with this waste.
Chloé Macary-Carney and her series of sculpture-drawings “Bucolic Toxin” evokes those things which heal us but lock us in a kind of apathy, a softness linked to an overabundance of images and objects.
On view until December 14 from Wednesday to Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. by appointment.
