A little American style, with music, artists, t-shirts, caps, dedicated signs and shirts stamped “Estuary votes Yes», the Provincial Coordination of the Estuary closed in a very beautiful way, this Friday, November 15, its campaign for the referendum. Like the “National coordination for the Yes vote to the Constitution» had mobilized people during the launch of the event, the Provincial Coordination of the Estuary set its troops in motion to seal this chapter. THE “Oui» must undeniably win at the end of this election, said the supporters of this camp.
After contacting the populations to urge them to vote, this closing meeting of the referendum campaign in favor of “Oui» allowed several personalities, notably the Provincial Coordinator of the Estuary, François Ndong Obiang, to express themselves and explain the militant reasons in favor of this position.
Thus, representatives of young people, women and wise people delivered speeches “imprints of hope”, emphasizing “the importance of the reform for future generations and for the entire population».
Deputy Prime Minister, Alexandre Barro Chambrier, member of the National Coordination, for his part, intervened to reaffirm the importance of this referendum for the future of the country. This, before François Ndong Obiang, also first Vice-President of the National Assembly, closed the event, thanking everyone “the participants for their commitment and unwavering support for the reform».
For the “Yes” supporters, “this event once again confirmed the unity and popular desire to see Gabon progress towards a prosperous and inclusive future“. Therefore, given the enthusiasm and commitment of young people, women and elders, the Provincial Coordination launched an appeal to the entire population to go massively to the polls for a “Yes massive“. Thus, they would show their support for the constitutional reform project and actively participate in the construction of a new Gabon.
Sending the members of the Coordination for the vote of “Oui» on the ground, Raymond Ndong Sima noted that this Constitution is better than that of 1991. He also underlined that it is the fruit of a process starting from the Inclusive National Dialogue (DNI), having retained more than 1,000 recommendations , to the Constituent Assembly via the National Constitutional Committee. “Whether we like it or not, this Constitution has been the most widely discussed by the populations», declared the head of government.
In any case, the vote of the population will make it possible to make a definitive decision and to envisage the future of the country under better auspices.
