OTTAWA, ON (November 15, 2024) – Gymnastics Canada is proud to celebrate three exceptional coaches who have received the prestigious Petro-Canada Coaching Excellence Award.
Presented annually by the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) in partnership with Petro-Canada, these awards honor exceptional coaches who have guided their athletes to performances that have enabled them to win medals at world championships, major international events such as the Olympic and Paralympic Games or the Special Olympics World Games. This year, 67 coaches from 27 sports are recognized for their contribution to Canadian sporting excellence.
Gymnastics Canada is proud to congratulate the following recipients:
- Trish Quinney (Alberta) – Recognized for coaching Team Canada to a bronze medal in the double mini-trampoline team final at the 2023 World Trampoline Championships.
- Curt DeWolff (British Columbia) – Recognized for coaching Team Canada to a bronze medal in the double mini-trampoline team final at the 2023 World Trampoline Championships.
- Karina Kosko (Quebec) – Recognized for coaching Sophiane Méthot to a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
