Stopped at Toulon station
The suspect in these two cases was arrested Tuesday evening at Toulon station (Var) after the attack on a young woman on board a train traveling in the south of France.
He presented himself during his arrest as a 32-year-old Cameroonian subject to an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF).
In addition to the murder in Lyon and the attempted homicide in Évry-Courcouronnes, investigators are wondering about his role in several attacks carried out with a similar modus operandi in Dijon, Strasbourg and Rotterdam.

In Lyon, the body of a homeless man of Moldovan nationality was found Monday morning near the Perrache station with a large wound on his head and a concrete block at his side.
In Évry-Courcouronnes, a man was hit in the face on the station square on October 23 while he was asleep. Seriously injured, the victim was given total incapacity for work for 45 days.
An investigating judge was appointed after this attack and the suspect must be presented to him on Friday. The Évry public prosecutor’s office requested his indictment for attempted murder and his placement in pre-trial detention.
Public prosecutor Grégoire Dulin told AFP he was considering bringing together all the French investigations targeting him.
