A race that turns into horror. In the United States, a hitchhiker was arrested after threw human remains out the window of a car, under the eyes of its driver.
According to the Lea County Sheriff’s Office in New Mexico, the alert was given by the motorist, on condition of anonymity. The latter declared having made the “disturbing encounter”
with a hitchhiker, Cecil Villanueva, on November 5. Loaded with two bags, he got into the car and started to “saying very alarming things”. He would then “threw objects outside the vehicle, including some looked like human bones”, specifies the sheriff’s office.

Although concerned, the driver from Jal continued his route and dropped off his passenger at the location of his choice. He then went to the police station, where he described Villanueva.
What followed was even more sinister. By carrying out research into the route taken by the vehicle, the authorities actually identified several pieces of bone. A pathologist confirmed its human origin.
10 to 20 human skulls discovered in the suspect’s home
A few days later, a search was carried out at Villanueva’s home, where he was “suspected of retaining human remains”. On site, the authorities discovered 10 to 20 human skulls.
According to Lea County Sheriff Michael Walker, these may have been “purchased online
in recent years“. These were entrusted to the Office of Medical Investigator in Albuquerque for analysis.
According to the police, one of the skulls could be that of Angela McManes, who disappeared not far from Villanueva’s home in 2019. “Authorities are working diligently to establish a connection to McCanes’ disappearance, as well as several other victims“, authorities said in a press release. Arrested, Cecil Villanueva was incarcerated at the Lea County Detention Center. He has not yet been indicted.
