Samuel Eto’o wants to earn 300,000 F net per day at Fécafoot

The President of Fécafoot had promised that he would not receive a single cent from Fécafoot. As he said, he is not lacking and therefore does not need it. It is 2021 and he is in the electoral campaign for the post of President of Fécafoot. How things have changed since then. For each day of ComEx meeting, Samuel Eto’o wants to have compensation five times higher, or 300,000 F.

The report from the Accounting Firm, Newko Audit, chosen by the federation itself, which verified the accounts for the year 2023 had already indicated that it did not see any trace or justification in the 2023 budget of the outflows of money in favor of Samuel Eto ‘o.

300,000 F net of taxes per day for Samuel Eto’o, 250,000 for his friends on the Executive Committee

The one who is the first President of Fécafoot to close a budget with a deficit, wants to increase his compensation. For someone who promised not to want to receive anything as long as he is at the head of the federation, it is still surprising. Guitama Gaitama explains that the President of Fécafoot wants to increase his session allowances from 60,000 to 300,000 FCFA net of taxes per day. To pass the pill, he will also multiply by five those allocated to his friends on the Executive Committee, i.e. from 50,000 to 250,000 FCFA per day net of taxes multiplied by the number of days that a session of the Executive Committee or of the General Assembly.

Guitama Gaitama, previously dismissed member of the Executive Committee and reinstated by the courts, cannot believe it:

At a time when the financial situation of FECAFOOT is clearly in difficulty; at a time when referees, match commissioners, match inspectors, match coordinators, referring doctors, etc. are claiming their compensation which has not been paid for several seasons; at a time when professional clubs are clamoring for their sponsorship rights and subsidies; at a time when amateur football is withering away due to lack of funding; at a time when the Federation is being dragged before the courts for unpaid invoices… I can only ask you to note that these increases in session allowances have deeply offended me, outraged me and call for no favorable response.
