Snow and ice on the roads… what is the winter situation in Ain?

The temperatures dropping little by little like the brightness, the fog appearing, the first snowflakes have already appeared in Lélex, this Tuesday, November 12… no doubt, autumn is here and winter is comingsometimes making conditions on the road complicated.

Like every other, the Department of Ain is setting up its winter service system to ensure the maintenance of traffic on the 4.400 km road for which he is responsible.

300 agents and 130 mobilizable vehicles

Until Thursday March 27, 2025more than 300 agents and 130 machines are ready to intervene at any time in case of bad weather (snow, ice, etc.) to ensure the continuity of road traffic.

From this Friday, November 15the Department of Ain will publish a bulletin d’information on traffic conditions, salting and snow removal operations, every day at 7 a.m. on its site.
