During the last municipal council, the resigning socialist councilor Aurélien Pierre, now a leading figure in the Citizen Alliance list, questioned the mayor Aurélien Brabant (Community) on the reactivation of public lighting, at night, within the entity .

The mayor confirmed that an in-depth analysis of the subject was imminent. “It’s on the agenda. We are scheduled to meet with ORES officials in the coming days to analyze this issue. But it is important to study in what way and with what formula”he declared.

Aurélien Brabant raised the idea of ​​distinguishing summer and winter schedules to adjust lighting periods according to the seasons, while recalling the need to remain cautious about the financial aspect of such a decision: “We will have to be vigilant at this level. But it is planned to rekindle.”

For his part, Aurélien Pierre highlighted the dangers faced by residents, particularly on certain roads: the Grand-Rue in Obigies and the Chaussée d’Audenaerde where road locks are installed.
