Charles Manson was for years the perpetrator of a series of murders in the late 1960s, when he was the head of his “Manson Family“. He was notably convicted of the murder of actress Sharon Tate, wife of director Roman Polanski. He was serving a life sentence until his death in 2017.
Relayed by the British media The GuardianCharles Manson would have revealed to be behind several murders. Indeed, during a phone call during his incarceration, the serial killer confessed being the cause of several other deaths, even before the creation of his sect. These confessions were recorded and are broadcast in a documentary series Making Mansonproduced by the Peacock platform.
In this documentary series, the life of the guru is retraced before the creation of the sect. We can see former disciples and relatives of Manson testify and react to the various audio recordings.
“I’ve been involved in a few murders.”
“I lived in Mexico for a while. I went to Acapulco, I stole cars. I found myself involved in things that were beyond medude. I’ve been involved in a few murders. I left my .357 Magnum in Mexico and left bodies on the beach,” said the American killer.
For his involvement in several murders, Charles Manson was sentenced to death by American justice. This sentence was ultimately commuted to life imprisonment. He had submitted yet another request for early release in 2012, which was refused. Charles Manson died at age 83 in prison.
