Fire: firefighters carried out an exercise within the premises of the Castelnaudary gendarmerie

The Castelnaudary gendarmerie brigade carried out a fire drill this Thursday, November 14, like every year, within the barracks, in partnership with the Aude commune fire brigade. The scenario was realistic: smoke was escaping from one of the staff apartments, where an unconscious person was trapped. Firefighters had to intervene quickly to locate the victim and remove him safely, after evacuating the building.

This training made it possible to highlight the potential challenges that firefighters may encounter during an intervention in the Chaurian gendarmerie barracks. Therefore, firefighters and police are keen to carry out these joint exercises in order to optimize their collaboration in the event of a real incident.
