These torrential rains once again caused school closures and disrupted rail traffic. The main roads found themselves under water, as evidenced by these images from Wednesday.
The city of Valencia was threatened by flooding, two weeks after torrential rains which caused the death of at least 220 people, and while restoration and cleaning work is still far from being completed.
In the south of Malaga province, streets were flooded and 3,000 people living near the Guadalhorce river were evacuated from their homes as a preventative measure. Schools in the province were closed, as were many stores. Trains have been canceled between Malaga and Madrid, as well as between Barcelona and Valencia.
No deaths have been reported as a result of these new storms.
