Montreuil: a thousand people evacuated from the Woillez high school after the discovery of a gas cylinder

The alert was given a little before 11 a.m., after a supervisor from Montreuil high school discovered in the toilets a bag containing a small camping-type gas cylinder and electrical wires.

Half an hour later, the evacuation is still in progress. According to our information, some 1,000 people were present on the premises of the establishment this Thursday morning, students, teachers and agents included. Everyone was asked to leave the premises, including the canteen, gym, etc. and to reach the usual assembly points in the event of an alert, namely the car park near the high school, rue du Paon and Porte Becquerelle. Finally, the groups were then taken to the Rheinberg room, near Montreuil town hall. The students are still there at the end of the morning.

A security perimeter of 100 meters around the establishment has been established. Arras deminers are on their way. The sub-prefect is present, a crisis unit has been opened.
