There is a whole part of my life that no one knows, says the criminal in this document, referring to his life before the series of murders committed by members of his sect, the “Manson family”, in 1969. During his trial, which marked the United States at the time, Charles Manson presented himself as the representative of a demonic force, displaying a swastika engraved on his forehead. Described as a psychopath with great powers of persuasion, he had controlled these atrocious crimes to try to push the population into a war between whites and blacks. This concept, named “Helter Skelter” after the title of a Beatles song, implied according to him that white people would then take him as a prophet once they had won this racial conflict.
