War between Ukraine and Russiadossier

For Ukrainian philosopher Constantin Sigov, Donald Trump’s victory, which could tilt the war in favor of the Russians, constitutes a major alarm signal for Europeans, who must take their destiny back into their own hands.

“We must escape the logic according to which the United States acts and we, Europe, react,” declared the head of European diplomacy Josep Borrell on November 11, while visiting Ukraine. For several days, the country has been on alert in the face of the intensification of Russian strikes which are causing new victims every day. Finding a capacity for action, a necessity which is also shared by the Ukrainian philosopher Constantin Sigov, while Donald Trump has just won the American election. Author of several works since the start of the war including Courage of Ukraine (editions du Cerf) or When Ukraine rises co-written with Laure Mandeville (Talent Editions), the intellectual is concerned about the taste for chaos shared by Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. Living in Kyiv, a recurring target of Russian drones, he recalls that “it is through practice that hope survives, not through ideas or discussions alone.”
