Alexis Juret was taken from Mont-de-Marsan prison this Wednesday, November 13. The seas of Laure Zacchello, missing since June 21, 2024was presented before the Bayonne investigating judge for the first time. This hearing, which had been postponed twice, lasted more than eight hours. According to his lawyer Me Vincent Faget, “the husband repeats that he is not a murderer and that he is worried about his wife and children”. The man, aged 43, “explained himself very fully to the magistrate” added his defender. Alexis Juret is in pre-trial detention, suspected of having killed his partner, Laure Zacchello, with whom he was in the process of separating. In this case, justice believes that this man eliminated Laure Zacchello in Urrugne before hiding her body. Alexis Juret indicates that he was attacked on the day of his wife's disappearance and that he subsequently discovered his wife's disappearance.

Application for release
The suspect's defenders will make a new request for release in the coming days. Vincent Faget explains: “We believe that there is not enough serious and consistent evidence to keep our client in detention.”

Alexis Juret was indicted for intentional homicide. Investigators are continuing their investigations. Recently, two people claimed to have seen the 43-year-old mother a few days after her disappearance. Testimonies which gave nothing concrete. Searches to try to find Laure Zacchello have yielded nothing so far. Alexis Juret is still in pre-trial detention at the Mont-de-Marsan penitentiary center in the Landes department.
