War in Ukraine: a senior officer in the Russian fleet in the Black Sea dies in the explosion of his car, Moscow accuses Ukraine of having placed an explosive device

According to the Russian and Ukrainian press, the explosion took place this Wednesday, November 13, early in the morning, in Sevastopol, in annexed Crimea.

“There was a driver inside the car, he was quickly evacuated and handed over to emergency services, but it was not possible to save him. He died from his injuries.”, announced on Telegram channel Mikhail Razvozhayev, the governor of Sebastopol, in occupied Crimea.

This morning, a Russian Black Sea Fleet staff car exploded in Sevastopol, killing the 41st Missile Boat Brigade’s chief of staff, Captain 1st Rank Valery Trankovsky.

Indeed, according to The Moscow Times, this Wednesday, November 13, Valery T, 47 years old, Russian captain of the 41st brigade of ships and missile boats of the Black Sea Fleet, was killed after his vehicle exploded. Russia accuses Ukraine of having placed an explosive there.

“The investigating authorities will determine the cause of the explosion, but it is clear that the possibility of sabotage cannot be excluded.”added the governor.

In a video shared on the social network the charred and totally damaged car among the passers-by.

From AFP, a source within Ukrainian Security Services (SBU), indicated that the targeted officer was “a war criminal who ordered the launch of cruise missiles since the Black Sea on civilian targets in Ukraine” and represented “an absolutely legitimate target.”
