As winter approaches, households using gas on a daily basis can make significant savings. How ? By participating in the bundle offer offered by UFC-Que-Choisir. But be sure to inform yourself well in advance.
A bundled gas offer offered by UFC-Que-Choisir
As winter approaches, a period when gas consumption increases for heating, UFC-Que-Choisir offers a group purchase of gas. The goal: achieve substantial savings on household bills. This offer is at fixed rates over a period of two years. Concretely, the association organizes a call for tenders from national suppliers to obtain competitive and advantageous proposals.
The offer selected for this group is that of the supplier Alterna Énergie. The latter stood out for its competitiveness. Compared to traditional offers, this proposal allows significant savings on the annual gas bill. Depending on the tariff zones and uses (cooking, heating, etc.), savings vary between 17% and 22% of the price usually charged on the market. In any case, this is the promise of UFC-Que-Choisir.
Big savings at stake
The “Cheaper Energy Together” offer allows households with average gas consumption to make substantial savings. For example, a household using gas only for cooking or for domestic hot water and consuming around 4,000 kWh per year could save 166 euros per year, says UFC-Que-Choisir. In comparison with “gateway” offers or those of other suppliers, the difference can be of the order of 13.6% to 22%.
For gas-heated homes, the difference is even more marked. A household with an annual consumption of 20,000 kWh could save money of 473 euros per year. Another important dimension of this offer lies in the fixed prices for two years. In a context where energy prices are volatile, guaranteeing a fixed price for two years is a major advantage. Consumers are thus protected against unexpected increases in gas prices.
Furthermore, the offer is supported by reinforced legal certainty. UFC-Que-Choisir claims to ensure that contract clauses are more protective for consumers than those usually offered by suppliers.
